“It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want—oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”

― Mark Twain

We had what I hope will be the last snowball fight of the season. Don’t get me wrong, we all love a good snowball fight, but none of my boys are sad to see the snow turn into puddles. I smell Spring in the air!

We’ve been outside every day this week. Making up for the lost time in nature winter hides from us. After being buried under snow and trapped indoors with subzero temps, it felt amazing to be plowing through puddles. I’ll gladly take the wet, muddy clothes, dirty floors, and that smell that comes with all that. Mother Nature is waking up again and I feel alive. Hallelujah!!
