Those big, brown, soulful eyes. They get me every time. It’s the little things that inspire me everyday. Of course, my children in general inspire me, but it’s really the smallest details that make me the happiest. Catch lights, silhouettes, sunsets, my boy’s precious little feet…these are the things in life that make me tick. That moment when just the right light hits those big brown eyes and I drop my legos and instinctively grab my camera.
What moves you? Do you stop what you’re doing and embrace the moment? You should. Stop working and snuggle your loved one – don’t do anything – just sit together. Stop doing the dishes and go outside at sunset. Do what you love at least for a moment every single day.
The other evening we left the dirty dishes on the table and went up the hill to enjoy the sunset. My wide eyed super heroes and dusk – I could do this every night.
These are the moments I live for.
Just a side note – these were the colors at our wedding, they are also the colors of my logo, and they are currently the boys favorite colors. I think I could decorate my whole life in the colors of the sunset.
