My little people create great things. While it’s too cold to play outside, they draw, build, and imagine the most marvelous things. My favorite is photographing them playing with my mom’s tea set. It has such a very special place in my heart. It’s been around since I was small, and every child in our family for two generations has sat in the tiny chairs and poured “tea” – spilling water all over the tiny table. I’m sure you’ve noticed the tea parties in my professional work as well as in photographs of my own boys. I love that I have the chance as an adult to enjoy the tea parties all over again while I capture children using their precious imaginations. In the image below, Will moved the tea party to the floor…and he just happened to land in some beautiful light. A bonus for a Mom photographer.

This week, since we were staying in out of the cold, I tried some creative photography. Patterned bokeh – So Fun! This image is my Nikon coffee cup. I love so many things in this image – Nikon, COFFEE, and bokeh. Oh, how I love bokeh.
