We all work hard. Some of us put in 40 hours + and then come home to our other full time job of taking care of our little ones (our children and/or our furry children). Some of us work 24/7 teaching, feeding, loving, and caring for for our families and making our house a home. Some work weekends and holidays to take care of business. Some go through the grind with a partner – I know I wouldn’t be able to do it without mine. He is my backbone and I’m very fortunate to have him. My hat is off to single parents. I’m amazed by your strength and diligence. Whether you are blue collar, white collar, a working parent, a stay-at-home-parent, or a student, we all work hard in our pursuit of happiness. It takes blood, sweat, and tears to make dreams come true, but every once and a while, we all need a break. Your mind and body need time to recharge. Take off your watch, unplug from all social media and electronics, and just breathe fresh air. Eat when your hungry and sleep when you’re tired. Take a vacation from all stressful thoughts, forget your routine, and don’t you dare count calories. Just live for a moment. Your creativity will thank you.
We spent the previous week at the lake – an annual tradition. I picked up my camera not because I had to, but because my family was doing something I wanted to remember. I didn’t overthink anything for a whole week. We smelled like sunshine, ate s’mores, and watched the sunset. It was glorious. I am now refreshed, so go ahead life, give me your best shot.

He found a fish floating by the boat, fell in love with him, and named him Bill. So, naturally, Grandma put him in a water bottle for her boy. His best friend that day was a dead fish. We still talks about him.
