Having children changes the way you look at things…literally. You end up spending a lot of time crawling around on the floor on their level. While playing with them, changing diapers, and cleaning up messes we see the world the way they see it. I’ve come to like the view from down here closer to the ground. The world looks like a big, beautiful place full of opportunities. I forget that sense of optimism sometimes when I’m standing up faced with responsibilities and grown up obligations. I think I prefer the world from my boys’ perspective. The nearly worn through knees of all my pants are proof of that.
